Kushal Punjabi Suicide: TV Actor Kushal Tandon Reveals Meeting His Parents, Says 'They Are Devastated'

Yesterday, we woke up to the sad news of TV actor Kushal Punjabi passing away. The actor who featured in many TV serials and film committed suicide by hanging himself to the ceiling fan of his residence. The news was confirmed by good friend Karanvir Bohra who took to Twitter to express grief and shock. Many stars sent in their condolences to the family. Kushal Tandon who recently launched his new restaurant was among the few stars who met Punjabi's family members after his demise.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Kushal Tandon spoke about how Punjabi's mother asked him to sit next to her as he shares the name with her now dead son. Kushal Tandon was quoted saying, "He was such a sorted guy. I don’t what triggered this but no one should ever take this step.” Kushal further shared, “I met his mother, sister last night. His parents are unable to believe this. They are crying their eyes out. I remember when I went there and his mother held my hands and said, ‘You are also Kushal na, just stay sit next to me. He was at your party last night na. Was he okay?’ He was the only son of the family, they are devastated." Reportedly, it is his failed marriage with his European wife that led Kushal Punjabi to take such a drastic step. Kushal Tandon launched his new restaurant just two days ago and Kushal Punjabi had made it to the inauguration party. He had accompanied stars like Shilpa Saklani, Apurva Agnihotri and Meet Bros to the party. Two days after this, the news of his demise shook one and all.
